My first Tamagotchi

Hello, I just got back from Japan and bought a 4u+ (among other things) in the Tokyo Station Tamagotchi store.

I'm finding it easy to look after, although some of the menus were initiallly a bit difficult to understand and remember (with me not knowing Japanese)

So I finally got a boy Tama last night and then he turned into what looks like a cross between a potato, a poo, and a flower. Today he's potty trained, the whole time he's been alive he's always made it to the toilet and he's been bathed and cleaned up everything at the right time. Does anybody know anything about this character? Does it mean I've been treating him well or not? It doesn't look like a 'good' tama, but it's happiness has been full and it's never been hungry in its life!

Hopefully it'll turn into Mametchi and I can stop worrying about what I've done wrong!
