Music Star Shops?

Hey, I bought a toy shop in the shop on my Music Star, but I can't figure out how to use it. ._. I click on the item, and my tama sits behind something that looks like a counter for a few seconds, then makes a sad face and leaves. It doesn't do anything when I press buttons. I've tried it with my 2nd gen Dorotchi Jacques and now with my Mimitchi Usagi and I still can't figure it out. What do you have to do?

Just keep entering the shop. You can think of it in terms of a real shop: you'll always have customers coming in but they won't always buy something from you (hence the sad face). Eventually though, you'll get someone who buys something. Keep trying again and again. It can be a little tiresome, but eventually you'll make money. Occasionally, you'll have a robber who comes in and takes money away but I'd say the net outcome of visiting the shops is largely positive.
