You get the codes for your Tamagotchi from the toys and instruments you buy, and sometimes the stardom items too.
You will know if that item has a code that you can bring back to your tamagotchi or not, it has a little grey Tamagotchi on the left corner (or maybe the right corner) and you click on it, and press the middle option, the middle option will give you a code and teaches you how to get the item to your Tamagotchi.
You earn Gotchi points by playing games. There's a game in every site, except for in front of the apartments, where you get in. You can get more Gotchi points and faster if you join in a band or put your band in a concert at the concert hall in Tamagotchi Music city. If you joined into another person's band and if they get top 100th then you will get a trophy for participation and some Gotchi Points depends on what place they got.
And if you put your own band into competiton, and if you get top 100th you will win a trophy, the trophy varies from which place you get for the competition and Gotchi points too, and it will also increase your CD level.
