My PC can't read Japanese (?), but is this the same site you found the names for the Whale Thing (Hatenatchi) and Tiger/Cat (Toratchi)?

Did you say that it was a fan site (so not official Bandai info)?

If so, where did these fans get the names - or did they make them up?

Tora is a tiger in Japanese so the Tiger/Cat thing is a tiger :kuribotchi: Otherwise it would have been nekotchi.

No, this is not the same site. I found those names at TAMA2, as well as the Panda costume character's name (Pandatchi) and the Mimitchi Costume name (Kigurumitchi).

Neither of them are official BanDai sites, however, Omuratchi and Kafuserutchi are actually DEKA characters ; I'm gonna have pics of them on the DEKA machine soon.

P.S. Weirdest thing...the egg dude is called Tamagotchi...

Actually Nekotchi would mean Little Cat. Neko by itself is cat.

Well, actually "gato" is cat in Spanish. Not in Japanese. So it would be Nekotchi before gatotchi. Although Gatotchi would be cool!
