Mikki the Furawatchi - Part 2
Episode - Tom is dead
"Tom is dead," the doctor finished.
Mikki gasped. "B-b-but... how can he be dead? The nurse said he should live!!" she burst out, trying oh-so-hard not to cry.
"That was before I found out that his burn was 3rd degree. I tried and tried but just couldn't keep him alive," the doctor said sadly.
"Well, now what will I do? I have babies due in a few weeks and I can't just.... call them off!! And Tom wanted to be there to see them be born, name one of them..." Mikki finished sadly.
"Today was your ultra-sound, though, so I guess we should do it." The doctor led Mikki to a room where she lay down and he used a special machine to do an x-ray type thing inside her belly.
"So? What are my babies? How many are there?" Mikki asked, when the photographs had been developed.
"It seems that you will have triplets. Two girls and one boy," the doctor said, smiling.
"That's great!" Mikki cried. "Now I've got to get home."
"I'll drive you," a sudden voice said from behind her.
Mikki turned around. It was her friend, Brenda!
"Sure! What are you doing here?" Mikki asked.
"Same as you. Sarri and Kathy are here too. When I heard the ambulances I decided to check it out. I had not walked even off the driveway when I saw it was you, staring out the window. I jumped in my car and followed. When I heard that Tom had been burned, I stayed in the waiting room until you came, crying. Now, when I found out you are having triplets, and you wanted to get home, I decided to drive -- what's that?" Brenda asked suddenly.
"I'M HAVING MY BABIES!!" Mikki shrieked.
"Doctor, Mikki is having her babies!" Sarri cried.
The doctor said, "Come with me, Mikki," and left the room with her.

Half an hour later, when Mikki came out, she carried 3 babies, and indeed, 2 girls and 1 boy, in her arms.
"What will you name them?" asked the nurse, with a clipboard in her hands.
"Um... the boy will be Danny, one girl Sarah, and the other girl Jessi," Mikki said.
"Danny.... Sarah.... Jessi," the nurse said, writing the names down.
"Okay, ma'am, just sign here, it shows that you have checked out of the hospital with your babies," said the nurse.
"Okay." Mikki signed and got into the wheelchair the doctor had rushed in, and drove home, in Kathy's car.
Chapter 3 will come out tomorrow.
