Mikan, what are you doing now?

Ok, so Mikan sometimes just sits at the bottom of the screen and opens her mouth and there is a little star (at least that's what I think it is) above her head. What is she doing? Does it mean anything? Or is it just another little animation? I appreciate all your help! Thanks!
