Bob, Ploddy and Fred all work at The Royal Mint.
The Royal Mint is where money is made. In the past, many workers there have tried to steal money but have never succeeded. Just yesterday, it happened again. The detectives were at the seen for hours and all they know is that the culprit is either Bob, Ploddy or Fred. It is now down to you to either narrow it down to two or work out who the culprit is.
Detective Results
After detectives had studied the crime scene for over 24 hours, this is what they said. 'Bob, Ploddy and Fred are the main suspects. The only other information we have is that the culprit has stolen £7500 worth of cash, hidden in some sort of pouch. This pouch was recovered, three miles from the Royal Mint, without any money in. Fingerprints found on this pouch belong to Bob and Ploddy but that doesn't mean that Fred is off the suspect list.

Police: Fingerprints of yours were found on the pouch with the money in. What do you have to say?
Ploddy: Millions of pouches pass through The Royal Mint every day, of course I will have touched most of them. I think, anyway.
Police: Do you need money? Is that why you may have stolen it?
Ploddy: Umm... Umm... Well, I am running low on money but I wouldn't steal it
Police: Is there anything you would like to say to our inspectors?
Ploddy: No, just that I am not guilty and that I think Bob is. He is a very suspicious character.
Interview with Bob
Police: Ploddy has blamed you for this, was it you?
Bob: No. He would have said that because he hates me. He knows I got a pay raise last week, he's just jealous.
Police: Your fingerprints were found on the pouch that the money was hidden in, was it you?
Bob: Of course not. I have sufficient money and would never steal. I have been a trusty staff member at The Royal Mint for 2 months now.
Police: Who do you think did it?
Bob: If you ask me, I think it was Fred. He has been sneaking around a bit recently.
Interview this Fred
Police: Fingerprints were found but they weren't yours. Did you do it but wear gloves?
Fred: I did not commit the crime. One of the two would have touched the pouches because millions pass through every day but the other would have to put the money in. It wasn't me. No fingerprints on the pouch, no gloves.
Police: Bob thinks it was you, he says you have been sneaking around, why is that?
Fred: I've been sneaking around to avoid Ploddy. He wants me to give him some money but I really don't. I can't afford it. PS. Don't take this as evidence, I haven't stole money because I am poor

Fred: I think it was Bob. He has a dodgy personality.
