Note: This isn't like a critic review. It's just a normal opinionated review, just like what I did with my V5. Thank you. - Chama

Character Review (Baby Mario):

This guy is my good luck charm. Yet small in size and decent in speed, he and I win lots of races. This version of Baby Mario is much more cuter and quieter than his infant counterpart from Yoshi's Island, who is loud and obnoxious (I experienced how he was when I was 7 or 8, as I had Yoshi's Island DS). He doesn't really talk much until you put him in a race. He is very adorable when he says "Wheeee!" when flying or "I did it! I did it!" (much like of how Baby Luigi goes "Go Weegee! Go Weegee!", which he actually says if a certain place is achieved during the last lap of the race, likely first place) when he gets first place.

I always make him drive a Circuit Special or a Sports Coupe (it sort of looks like a cross between a Camaro and a Dodge Avenger, without the sunroof). He looks very cute and looks like he's from the tough side of the Mushroom Kingdom. He's too cute to be tough.

Kart/Bike/Motorcycle Review:

The karts have many special quips to them. Some have good speed, some don't. I notice that the bigger your character is, the more speed you get, and the better chances you have on winning a race. My personal favorite is the Biddybuggy. It fits the babies, but don't know if it's meant for the big boys and girls.

Track Review:

The tracks are very innovative, and it brings back nostalgia from past Mario Kart games. My favorite track is Sweet Sweet Canyon, which reminds me very much of Sugar Rush Speedway from Wreck-it Ralph. I can see where Nintendo is coming from with all of these tracks. They seem much more life-like and look very realistic, as if you were the one who was racing with your character beside you.

Nintendo really went all out to make all of these tracks.

Overall Review:

I highly recommend this game to players who love racing. Games like "Crash Tag Team Racing" and "Crash Nitro Kart", move aside, there's a new favorite game in town! Mario Kart 8 is a barrel of fun, by yourself or with up to four players. If you enjoy racing games, I would pick up a copy if I were you. It's like a newer version of the old Mario Kart games, with a few of the tracks from the GCN, SNES, Wii, 3DS, and DS versions of Mario Kart.
