SO LIKE, I got my new Mame Game in the mail. It's- not new, it's been used, but I got it today. It said to use LR44 batteries, but there weren't any in the store, so I picked up from 357/303s instead and they work in it just fine. But now that I'm trying to play this- basically Doctor Mario esq tamagotchi game, I realize there's an... issue...
The game turns on fine, I can scroll through levels 1-3 and start playing perfectly well. Until one of the little guys hits the ground. Then the row fills up with all the pixels it can, and the game progresses like this, sometimes the rows go away, sometimes they stay until I make a match, sometimes they move around, its- I don't know what to do about it. I'm going to record a video of it here in a minute, I just need to set that up, but.
Does anyone know how to fix this?... It came with batteries installed and they corroded inside, at least one of them did, and now I've accidentally stripped the battery backing's screw, so they're stuck in place. I may take it to a jeweler or something when I get back into town in a few weeks but for now I leave in a few days and so I don't have the time to send it to anyone. I think I can still get to the other insides of the tamagotchi but I'm not certain. If anyone knows what to do about this, please please please let me know! Thank you!
EDIT: So, the video won't post. Weird. Been trying all day. I'll try again tomorrow, but after that I'm leaving town...
For now I've tried opening the back and, I got ALL but one screw out. It's also stripped. Somehow. But whatever. I'm pretty sure Jhud is right, he made this comment on my status and after investigating what I can about the Mame Game, it seems to be the best lead I have right now for my problem.
I'm not sure what to do at this point, I'll work more on the screw in the morning and if I can get this fixed I'll order some replacement screws that I *won't* be able to strip as easily before I leave home tomorrow evening. If I can't get this fixed. Well. I saw a cheaper Mame Game 1 that's not the pretty pink frosted color that I really like, I can order that, or I can wait for my other Tamagotchi branded Mame Game to arrive, the Mame Game 2. Whatever the case may be with this one, I hope at least THAT one will work, because the seller said they would NOT ship with batteries, and honestly so did this one but there were corroded batteries in there!! Ugh.. Whatever. Anyways, I think I'm going to bed now.
If anyone has any suggestions for how to fix it PLEASE hit me up, or if they need more info to be able to help I can try to provide!!! I may have to double post as of, tomorrow to provide more information but I'll do my best to get everything gathered at once. Thank you!!!!!!!!
