Elizabeth Fielder was eleven years old. Everyone called her Lizzy, and she was ahead on school work. She lvoed taking care of her pets, but when her dog, Tarzan, died, she was heartbroken.
One day, when young Lizzy was in a toy store with her mother and her baby sister Tricia, she spotted a purple Tamagotchi iD L on one of the shelves. (I know those are not REALLY in sotres, but it's fiction, right?) Lizzy asked her mother if she could buy it and the mother said yes. When she got home, she started it up and it hatched a baby girl, Momoirotchi. She decided to name it Tazanna after her old dog Tarzan. Once she worked out how to take care of Tazanna, she was playing games like crazy. She loved it, and beofre she knew it Tazanna had evolved into Rolutchi. Lizzy loved Tazanna, and wanted to turn her into a beautiful Shigurehimetchi.
That night, when Lizzy was asleep in her room (she didn't sleep with her sister Tricia) she heard a soft voice calling to her in a dream. Tazanna appeared before her. Tazanna was speaking, calling out Lizzy's name. Then the dream ended but the voice was still calling. She woke up and picked up her Tama. Tazanna was awake, and perfectly real, not pixels, calling to her owner through the screen. Lizzy whispered back to her. "Tazanna? Are you really alive or is this just advanced modern-day electronics?" "I am reallll, Lizzyyy. I am Tazanna, your pet, your friend who is no longer pixelssss...you have unlocked the life, pulled it out of a Tamagotchiiii..." her voice was whispering, soft and real, as if struggling and fading, like the voice of a shadow or a ghost. Lizzy gasped. Her Tamagotchi was real and alive! Then suddenly, Lizzy was whisked into another dream about a bush walk in Austalia.
That morning, Lizzy checked Tazanna. She was just pixels again. "It must have all been a dream, after all. But it all seemed so real..." she whispered to herself.
