I really don't quite understand the generation thing, please forgive me. I bought my daughter a tamagotchi for Christmas, and now I'm addicted to it! Currently mine is also a female kurokotchi. The last time I checked on it, there was a little box that almost resembled a tv with static in the upper left hand corner. I was just wondering what that was? Thanks!

The generation thing is how many tamas you have had in a row, like the current one is the kurokotchi the last one was It's parent the one before was It's grandparent.
