I've looked around this forum a little bit before but just now joined. :kuribotchi:
I first heard of Tamagotchis about a year ago when someone I knew let me play with their V3. After that, I had to get one! So very soon after that I got my first V3.
That V3 had a flashing "X" on it as soon as I got it, and it barely worked. I got another V.3 that actually worked and it was great! Then I heard of a cat-like character called "Nyatchi" and it looked so cute, but I heard you could only get it in the Japanese versions. (Is this true?)
Then I found out about a way to debug them, and I tried and broke that Tama. :kuribotchi:
By the time all of this happened, my brother had a couple of V.3's and v.4 was out and we both got one. My brother got rid of his V.3's (I think he threw them away.) and he sold another to the neighbors. He's going to try to buy it back, though.
Anyway, despite my bad luck with tamagotchis so far, my V.4 still works! I have this character -->
Gozarutchi. He's 5 YR right now so hopefully the matchmaker will come in about another "year" or so.
So..here are my questions!
EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot! My birthday is tomarrow. What happens on your birthday with your tamagotchi? Does anything happen?

- Is there any way to get Nyatchi? If so, how? Can you do it on an American v.4? Is it Japanese only?
- Are there any other cat-like Tamagotchis besides Nyatchi? If so, how can I get one?
- How do you get the matchmaker to come?
- How many genrations can a tamagotchi go through?
- Does anyone know if V.5 is coming out soon?
- Is it worth it to get an "Angelgotchi" or any other kind of rare Tamagotchi?
