Well, the thing is, my best best best best (etc) friend was always a real tomboy like me and we would stick together and hang out doing boyish things like the other girls do girly things.... BUT... she's going through this phase and she's becoming all girly-girl and (OMG) she's gone off rugby... that was how we came to be friends... she's nothing like me I don't want to force her to do anything, but she's not the same best friend..

It's always difficult when your friends start to change... but you have to remember that they are their own person and if you really care about her, you should learn to accept those changes.

Yeah! There's a tomboy (Like me) in my class at school, and she didn't even sign up for rugby! Now she's all, "OMG I broke a nail call 999!" There's no true tomboy''s at my school except me!

I don't go to school, but when girls start there Period & start to grow up, there interest change, soon you will too^^, im NOT saying that your going to turn girly girl, but you might like some girly girl things later or mabe just some other thing you thought you would never like.

I'm gonna let her get on with what she wants... but no-one in my year's in rugby anymore.. how miserable playing with mini-people of about 7... XDD

HECK I hope not.... me.... girly girl things.... that doesn't sound right XDD.

Yes, but she's been my best friend since I was 4. I'm 11 now.

Everyone decides to have a change sometime - it's part of growing up. It dosen't mean you can't be friends with her anymore, after all, I'm sure there's still some things you have in common. None of my friends are anywhere near the same as me - we're all different, and it makes us unique. The best thing everyone can do is to be themselves. :)

How isn't it fair? People change and are allowed to have lives.

Just because she's changing doesn't mean you can't still talk to her.

I met one of my friends when I was four. We were both HUGE tomboys growing up. We got older, she turned to more of a girly girl type while I stayed tomboyish. We're still really good friends after almost 14 years.

Yeah, she has to make the decision that's right for her. :)

Don't worry, me and my BF are total opposites, but we get on so well! ;)

She is going thrugh a phase so just give her sometime to grow out of it

Some people just need space.

Just becuase she's changing, doesn't mean you can't be friends.

Some of my friends are exact opposites of me.

Just let her grow.

If you let her grow, you will be letting yourself grow too.

People change.

That would be so funky if you were the pair of friends.

XD

Wow, what a coincidence. This topic might get a bit awkward if you guys were the pair of friends!

Well, she's probably going through a stage... She might grow out of it, she might not. Either way, you should stay her friend. If she doesn't want to be your friend anymore because you aren't "Girly girl" either, then she's the one with the problem (no offense or anything)... Just give her some time. But in the meantime, stay her friend! Just because she's gone "girly girl" doesn't mean you have to stop being her friend. I'm not a tomboy OR a girly girl. I'm not into rugby or anything, but I surely wouldn't want to be painting my nails bright pink in my free time. I hope everything works out!
