Is my 1996 tamagotchi v2 a FAKE ???

I bought this tamagotchi a year ago on ebay still wondering if its a fake. Color is seethrough blue with grey buttons. The word Tamagotchi scratched off but when i bought it the words were there. I think im on the teen fase 5 yrs old.

The back says BANDAI 1996 MADE IN CHINA
