irDA USB and Windows 10

I was planning to buy an irDA USB, but it seemed like Windows 10 no longer supported IR beaming.

However, I heard that a recent update for Windows 10 re-enabled the irDA functions and I wanted to confirm it.

Has anyone tried to send a file to their Tamagotchi from a Windows 10?

If it worked, which USB were you using?

I bought one. It didn't work because the drivers were not compatible.

But...

I managed to transfer files using VirtualBox.
