There's lots of talk about using IR to transfer items but I'm not sure what IR device exactly that I need to buy for this. Can someone point me in the right direction? Preferably the cheapest yet most reliable option, if such a thing exists. Thanks ^_^

Most people use cell phones for this purpose! Not all phones are compatible, though, sadly. Here is a list of phones that have been proven to work with tamas:

I used to have an IRDA USB dongle about 10 years ago that worked quite well for me, unfortunately I lost it in a move and I've been unable to find another one for a decent price.
