Not exactly.
According to Wikipedia, it's designed to emulate/act like a remote control, like the ones for TVs, with a longer range. You could probably used it to control your TV or DVR if you have one.
An internet search causes me to conclude that this probably won't work. The patch requires IrDA, which is beyond the scope of an IR Blaster, as far as I know.
