Ennaira’s Profile

Ever since she was born, others always called Ennaira beautiful. But as she grew older, people said the most beautiful thing about her was her long flowing hair. When Ennaira was twelve, she had everything. Friends, family, popularity, love, everything she could ever want or need. Then she met Alex, who was her best friend. But she envied Ennaira’s beautiful looks. In fact, she became so envious; she tricked Ennaira into stealing something from her own mother’s room one day. Ennaira took it and as she headed out the door, Alex came up behind her and chopped her hair off so that it barely came to her shoulders. Ennaira was so surprised, she dropped the box and her mother (who was downstairs) came up and saw her in the room with her mother’s box. (Alex had run off) A few weeks later, Ennaira’s parents disappeared completely. She felt abandoned, unloved and now had a huge grudge on girls with brown hair. Ennaira began to stop speaking and eating less. The only words she would speak were hateful words. But when a new girl, Melisa, transfers to Ennaira’s area and school, the only thing that she thinks about is how she’s another brown haired traitor. Even though Ennaira continues to ignore her, Melisa won’t leave her alone. And worst of all, Melisa makes another friend and now the two won’t give up on Ennaira. This other girl is Kerry B. or usually called “Shadow” by Melisa. Everyone seems to be noticing a change in Ennaira. Not just that her hair has now past her shoulders, but that she’s changing inside. She’s begun talking to others again. She might have met the love of her life, but she isn’t sure that he loves her back. Ennaira’s story keeps going on and takes twists and changes from happy to sad to romantic…
