... wow, I joined TamaTalk in summer of 2004 and stopped coming online later that year. It is now 2012. I guess some things really never change :)

I started getting into virtual pets with one of my absolute FAVOURITE pets: the Bo Bear (you can see it on Tamenagerie here: https://www.tamenager...scellaney3.html). It's really a pity that no one knows much about it. It was the first pet to have weather implemented in it, so you had to dress your bear accordingly depending on what the weather was like (rain, snow, sunny, cloudy). I then got a Dino Watch and Puppy Watch (can't find any details on them, don't even know what they're called!), the Nano Kitty and Nano Baby (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiiPr_2sUG4) and Talking Nano Baby (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSQwAcjiGaA). Eventually, though, I found myself looking at the Tamagotchi Angel while at Toys R Us... and I absolutely BEGGED my mother to get me one. It took a few months of pestering her every time we passed by the store, but eventually my father surprised me by buying it for me.

There was something amazingly special about the Tamagotchi Angel. The other pets I had were all based on actual animals and people. But the little bouncing blobs on the Tamagotchi were adorable in a way that a cat or dog couldn't compare to. And that's when I was hooked. My friends also got their own (mainly P2s and Oceans) and we played with them every day.

Unfortunately, Tamagotchi disappeared after a few years. I forgot all about them until one day, I decided to search for them on Google. That was winter 2004. And I learned that, coincidentially, Tamagotchi was coming back! I started stalking them all over the Internet, learning about a lot of the Japanese releases that never appeared in America. I vowed to get a Tamagotchi Connection the moment it appeared in stores, and even got my siblings to buy them too (eventually I bought them all from them, haha!) I kept up with them until 2005 or so, and then completely forgot about them.

Until one day in January 2012, out of curiosity, I did another Internet search and -- lo and behold -- there were now colour Tamagotchis! And they used AAA batteries! And they looked gorgeous!

No question about it. I NEEDED one. So I bought an iDL, it just came in the mail today, and I figured I'd come back to the Tamagotchi community online.

So here I am. 12 years after I got my first Tamagotchi, I'm still hooked on them. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
