No, I did that to my V3. Just be careful not to cover the buttons, and be aware that some stickers leave that annoying white stuff or may peel the paint when you take them off. What you MUST avoid are nail polish and sunscreen - removes the paint!

Some of the earlier versions of V1's even came with stickers so you could decorate the toy yourself as they had a plain shell!

If you are going to put a sticker on a highly decorated one,though, it may take off the paint when you remove the stickers. The paint on tamagotchi's appears to be quite soft and I have found that it wears away with use anyway- especially around the buttons.

You are pretty unlikely to find any 'used' tamagotchi that doesn't have some paint damage- so if you want to use stickers- I wouldn't worry too much about the paintwork!

Why would it? It may remove paint, but that's all that I can think of.

Sometimes, if you take them off, they leave weird stuff behind which you can get off using a run out pen.

two people i know did it, without harm.

1) my bro(Roald_Rocks): stuck 2 stickers over his screen. came off no probs.

2) my friend. used letter stickers to spell her name on the side.

stickers help personlise things. u should see my nintendo ds!
