I'm wondering if anyone has had to repair their iDL, or other similar tamagotchi with an adhesive?

My blue iDL stopped working this afternoon and I opened it up and noticed that the little coil of copper wires is loose and hanging by, well, a copper thread. The glue that was used to hold it down had cracked and come apart.

What is safe to use to glue it back down? I am hoping that will fix my problem, but the glue inside is sort of soft and tacky and I'm not sure what kind it is. Would regular craft glue screw up the electrical connection?

Also, I apologize if this is in the wrong section - I wasn't sure where to place it and this topic seemed to fit my needs the most.

Solder Glue would be best... Or maybe even duct tape.
Thanks. I'd feel safer with the glue - at least that I can layer on top of the previous glue to hold it back together, but I am not sure what I would be able to duct tape the coil to. Can it go over/on the circuit board?
