Does resetting ur tamagotchi getin the way of it growing a stage?

Well when you hit the reset button on the back of your tama you will be given an option,

Download

or

Reset

If you hit reset you will lose EVERYTHING! Items, points, souveinrs, and your Tama.

So yes it will interfere with your pets growing period.

EDIT: If you hit Download you will not lose anything at all. (If you hit reset already you cant get them back)

This is so that if your batteries die you can download your Tama's previous stuff, and of course your Tama!

There is really no point of "Download" besides that function.

If you reset it, you hear a 'beeep' and then an egg will appear. But it won't hatch. Press 'B' (middle button) to choose to download your old tamagotchi, or to reset and get a new one. Just like what Itachi said, if you reset, you WILL loose everything. Make sure you really want to reset before you do it.
