I think this Tamagotchi is fake

During the June holidays while visiting China I bought a Tamagotchi for only a few dollars. It looked like this: https://img145.imageshack.us/img145/2748/spa0084b.jpg

The packaging says Familicha (not Familchi) v5. It has several features different from what I know of my v4.5, like only three characters are allowed for the name, there's no shop, the connection screen has two hearts with the words stand by, the scold/praise button makes make tamas sing, and the despite the fact that the instruction sheet mentioned the minigames in reals tamas, it only had one minigame - a running game which a stickman runs on an exercise machine. The clock's also not accurate, it seem like every six minutes counts as an hour so the thing kept beeping all the time. I can't remember clearly, but I think it was able to be muted. Also, the tamas don't die.

Yes, it is probably fake, saying that it was very cheap. Here are reasons why.

1. I do not think it has the Tamagotchi sign on it, the picture is blurred.

2. They did spell the name wrong.

3. Three characters allowed for the name does not sound right to me.

4. There is no shop.

5. Connection screens do not have only two hearts.

6. The scold/praise button should not make them sing. Scold should make them sad.

7. Instruction sheets are always right. There is not one game in a real tamagotchi.

8. The clock sohuld be ight. This is a fake.

9. They must die!

the only thing wrong is not dying,clocks and the game. keep in mind tamagotchis in china will have different featuresso it might have a different game. the clock either it is a glitch or i don't know.

mabie that has something to do with it.

and for the tamagotchi not dying,I left mine for TWO DAYS and it was nearly dead, but not dead.

and if youre looking for the shop, go to the tv sign

Why were you so keen on denying it was a fake? Are you a member of that company (no offense)?

it probably was by a different company. And plus, I had a familitchi before and so far from my experience i dont think that it should have a mametchi or a tamagotchi on the front.
