I need help with the Make up item!

Also I'm ot sure how to use any other item.

Wait, can you even use them? Or do you just get them and thats it? Oh yah, its on V4.5

The Make up item can only be used if you have purchased the mirror, items can be bought through the shop or even Tama-Town. Some Tama-Town items are souvenirs which your Tamagotchi cannot use, however all your items are under the "Games/Activites" icon. Once you've reached the icon go to "Item", all your items will appear there, you can scroll through your items by simplying press the "A" button (the button to your left) and selecting an item by press the "B"button (the button in the middle).
