December 2007 Contest Winner
Well, today, my mom came back from the Verizon store with my sister and says, "K (let's call my sister that for short) and Chris are coming." K has been dating Chris for months now, and I finally get to meet him. When my mom told me they were coming, I was walking through the hallway with pepsi in one hand, and cheese nips and my homework in another. I start freaking out and I'm like "OMG!" My dad is rushing to get upstairs because he was in his "working on the car" clothes and all dirty, and I was rushing to the den. Then mom comes to the hallway and there goes the doorbell. I try to sneak to the den but my sister grins and says, "Veronica, get back here! 
" So here I am with my hands full, and my new brother-in-law is in the doorway with my sister ready to shake my hand. I hand the stuff to my dad and shake Chris's hand, and he laughs. I didn't know what to say... it was just such a weird feeling. Then my sister whispers, "He's going to be your brother-in-law." And I say, "You're getting married?!" Then K giggles and says, "No, in a long time from now." So I think, wow, a brother! I've always wanted one! So then we all sit around the kitchen table and talk for like 45 minutes. It was a nice conversation. 
For all you Ugly Betty (it's a TV show) watchers, Chris looks just like Daniel just with blonde hair and he's more country style.
I like my new brother.
