Ok, this is what's going on: Tomorrow after school I am going to ask out the guy I am in love with. His name is Johnathan and I really love him. He is a super nerd and really smart but that suits my tastes so I'm asking him out. Anyway, I need to put on a normal amount of makeup but I have no idea how to use eyeliner, eyeshadow, lip gloss, mascara, blush, shimmer ect. You name it, I don't know how to put it on. I also need to know how to do my hair. I already have my outfit picked out. It's my cutest jeans with a peach-yellow shirt that says 'Hug-a-Chick' on it. I have two eyeshadows one is pinkish sparkly and the other is white. I have a clear peach flavored lipgloss. And I'm going to get some eyeliner and a red eyeshadow. My sister will let me borrow her blush. But all the same I have no idea how to use it all. Help please!!!!

If he rejects you because you're not wearing makeup, he's not worth it.

I know that I'm not really helping but why don't you just go as yourself? You don't need all of that makeup and lip gloss, It's what's on the inside that counts!

And besides, I'm sure that your beautiful enough without the makeup!

This is all true, but sometimes a little something extra, such a touch of makeup, can make a girl feel a little more confident. Kind of like wearing your favorite outfit, it can be just enough of a mood boost to get you through something you're nervous about. It's all a psyche-thing.

For your age, I wouldn't wear a bunch of makeup. Actually, the experts always say that some black/brown mascara, light pink blush and a little warm-colored lipgloss on your lips is the most naturally flattering look that you can get. On days I don't feel like doing much makeup, it does wonders for me. The most universally flattering shade for lips is a warm rose color, and it looks good on younger people. Same with black or dark brown mascara, a warm nude shimmery eyeshadow, and a very light pink blush.

If you just wear a few of these things fairly lightly, he probably won't even notice that you're wearing it. You will look like yourself, with just a little more focus on your features.

I have exactly what I'm going to wear to ask Jhonathan out!!!!

• My peach-yellow shirt with 'Hug-a-Chick' on the front.
  
• My jeans with the pretty design on the thighs.
  
• My stripey pink, black, and white low-cut socks.
  
• My normal pink and white sneakers.
  
• My glasses (obviously!)
  
• My luckey undergarments .
  

And all the cosmetics I shall use:

• My light redish lip gloss.
  
• My light sparkley eyeshadow.
  
• My hair de-frizzer (my hair is wild without it.)
  
• My brand-new dark brown mascara.
  

See? Nothing too extravagant and most of it I wear everyday.

First of all I agree with sweet kandi, just be yourself. But if you just want to do it anyways then don't put all that stuff on, I would just put eye liner and a thin layer of lip gloss. Just ask your sister to help you put everything (makeup) on.

Congratulations on your date!

If you want to doll yourself up at all for your date, which I doubt you need, just put:

- A little eyeliner

- Maybe some lip shimmer

- a bit of blush if you don't have naturally red cheeks

- eye shadow

That's all I ever put on when I'm going out. In fact, most of the time, I only use eyeliner.

I don't actually think you need the makeup. I just went with eye shadow on my first date with a fancy top and black jeans. It worked, because he ended up kissing me at the end of the movie.
