You see my tamagtchi is a nikatchi and it is my first ver. 3 tamagotchi and it's name is buzz he likes to play games but i don't want him to die!!! 
I have a problem :(

As long as you check the health meter regularly and fill the hearts up when they are empty- he won't die. Tama's only die when all their hearts are empty and you neglect to fill them back up.You see my tamagtchi is a nikatchi and it is my first ver. 3 tamagotchi and it's name is buzz he likes to play games but i don't want him to die!!!

I have very strong suspiscions that on V3, Nikatchi isn't actually that "bad". Because I had a Nikatchi and it evolved into Memetchi on pretty average care, which isn't bad at all.
Don't forget to turn out the lights when it goes to bed, and always keep him on (or close to) minimum weight .
