I can't believe I bought ANOTHER Tama!

Hey everybody!

I'm new here. My name is Mimi (This is my real name, totally unrelated to Tamagotchi, would you believe..)

I'm 18, from the UK.

I remember having Tamagotchi's years ago, in the late 90's when they were first out in the UK. I don't remember too much, but I remember thinking they were awesome, and the trend spreading like a rash, until every teacher's drawer in every classroom was filled with suffering confiscated Tama's (poor things heh!)

I remember being a real bad mother, neglecting mine. I must have been... 8? So yeah, I had a couple, including the last one that my grandmother "conveniently" threw in the bin.

Many years passed, tama was forgotten, until yesterday I realised that I wanted one.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHY. I am 18, preparing to get married in 2 or so months, yet I had this urge to buy the nostalgic toy of many a childhood. So I instantly walked to town, and bought a tama v.4.

I am so smitten. My tamagotchi is called YaYa. He is asleep at the moment (Then again, I should be too. It's 4am)

Things have really changed, haven't they? I love the whole points system, the fact I can go to TamaTown etc.

Though I've had Tamagotchi's in the past, I know little about Tamagotchi, the characters etc.

I'm just here to indulge in my playful side and maybe make some TamaPals

Hello, Mimi! I completely know what you're talking about! I bought my first Tamagotchi about 10 years ago as well (I'm in college, by the way...glad to see another "old-timer" like me ) and I recently got back into them by purchasing a V4. My heart is still with the Tamagotchi that came out in the 90s (come to think of it...my whole collection, save for my one V4, is comprised of those old school guys ) and I enjoy playing with them much more than with my V4. I don't have any of the original Tamagotchi's anymore. I wish I still had one, just so I could compare it to my new v4. I have a feeling I would probably prefer the original too.

You know, I don't feel so guilty/mad now for buying a new Tama haha.
