Screw using letters, I am using actual names. But anyway~

My friend Summer. I met her a year ago at my friend Sarah's birthday party. I bought my Inuyasha plushie to sleep with and some Inuyasha manga. I bought it out to show everyone. She seemed to like it the most! We became good friends and everything. After her party we didn't speak until June of this year (About 5 months) After I remembered her and asked Sarah for her number.

I have spent the night at her trailer 3 times' since June. She is a nice and very smart girl. But she has a major problem. Not physical at all. She is ADDICTED to Naruto. That's all she think's about. It rides' my nerves. I asked Rachelgotchi for some advice a month ago. I used her advice and it didn't work >.<

Summer is a great girl. She may be packing fat, but she is pretty and nice. I am just worried greatly. Not even I am that addicted. She used to call EVERY 5 minutes' until I spoke to her grandma. Ever since she got a PC in her room because she goes to a Virtual school, she uses it for Schooling and going on DeviantART/Youtube to look up Naruto. She also looks up SasuNaru yaoi and she is only 13. (But she just turned 13 on the 1st on the month)

I am very worried. She doesn't seem interested about other stuff other then Naruto except when it is stupid stuff that happened at school. I don't want her becoming so obsessed were I can't even have a normal convo. with her (Like any is) And I want her to grow up a bit. What will happen when she is older? I try to tell her but she won't listen.

Please help me~ I am one of her only friends. She seems' to cling onto what I like (Such as the colors Black and Red. My favorite characters' and whatnot) I am trying to take her to a local Anime club to make more friends' but she can't go without me. Her granny won't take her and my dad won't drive down to were she lives then to the Library. I want her to meet some new friends.

I don't want to be mean to her even though something in me is telling me to yell my brains' out at her to tell her "SUMMER! *PLEASE do NOT even use that kind of abbriviation- we all know what it means and it's just as bad as typing it all!* WITH NARUTO!" Then hang up the phone ._.

Please and Thank you!

Sometimes, you actually have to do that. Anyways, try finding some other things that you can intrest her in. If you want, you could find some Naruto Amvs on Youtube to intrest her in music. i can't help you more that that. If this fails, ask her nicely to talk about something else. When all else fails, proceed to yell your brains out.

Thank you VERY much Tamaw/pants ^_^

I ain't trying to encourage her and Naruto. I wanna get her into real events, real things.

It's kinda hard to stop someone with an addiction. I have the same problem ATM, and it's driving me nuts. Anyways, try to get her intrested in sports. But use Naruto language she could understand. She might believe you, but this could get out of hand easilly. If she can't go without 24 Hours without Naruto, she's addicted and unable to be cured. Yes, that's hard to do, but it'll prove that naruto could be something she and you occasionally discuss. I have no more to say. Good Luck.

Try and ask her, does she want to go out somewhere with you. If it's the pictures (Cinema), swimming or an arcade you can play at. Rather than tell her to stop being obsessed, encourage her to find more hobbies and things she likes that you can do together. She will probably like the anime for a long time, but still let her talk about it and enjoy it.

I used (a long time ago) to be obsessed with Naruto. But now that I know more anime and school started (¬¬) I can keep Naruto from my mind for a while. Maybe you can have a conversation with your friend that is impossible to relate with Naruto. Or if you want, show her different kinds of anime\manga. But don't tell her to stop, since then there will probably be a fight in between you two about how you can't control my life, and I think that it isn't the best way to go. But I'm not so good at giving advice so this might make no real sense. ^^'

Well if you cannot work things out then try to tell somebody besides tamatalkers.

She seems to be greatly influenced by you. Next time you see her, and she starts talking about nuartro (sp?) just say somthing like, "You know what? I don't really like nuartro anymore. But do you know whats really fun? insert name of sport/other activity here." She will most likley say, "You know what? I agree. That is so much fun!" Vuala. New and more fun activity that you both like.

ugh... I have a friend like this, only she is obsessed with Miley Cyrus and HSM... but really... try bringing her different places, and try to spark a new interest other than Naruto. Like to the Bowling alley... try bringing her there, you never know, she may get a new interest in something... try to convince her to join a club with you, and maybe she will start to gain other interests

HSM? How could anyone like HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL?? o_O

It's a phase. Don't be too bothered. And seriously, her future doesn't look bright? She'll get over Nar-roo-doo.

You're obsessed with Naruto too, even if you think you're less obsessed. Think about how you feel about her obsession, how it annoys you, and you'll get the equivelent of about what un-obsessed people think about your naruto addiction.

I don't mean that as an insult, by the way, but just a thought.

Now, looking up Yaoi is no big deal. Most of my friends search for yaoi, like shounen-ai pairings, and talk about them a lot. I myself don't really like yaoi, but I'm in the minority. Can you believe that?

Ah, well. I know very little about anime/manga, so a translation would be luverly, honey. xD

Wikipedia is your friend and don't patronize me.

Shonen-ai means guy-on-guy art and stuff

Yaoi means hardcore guy-on-guy art and stuff

Have you checked in the mirror lately? You're bascially talking down on yourself, meowbark. It's just a phrase and she will recover soon.

Try asking her why she loves it so much, which well know why though..
