How to prevent my Tamagotchi from being damaged?

So I usually just keep my digital children in my pocket, but I've noticed that the paint job on all of them seems to be getting more and more scratched up, day by day. Once, I had kept my v4 in my pocket for most of the day, and when i took it out to check on it, there was a missing chunk of paint from the screen's frame. Is there any why to avoid this? Because it getting kind of annoying...

I keep mine in cases; I feel like it wouldn't be too hard to make a soft sleeve with some felt if you're into DIY projects.

Lots of people make / buy soft covers for them.

If you don't want to buy something online, I've always found soft baby's socks good at protecting them and good value.
