How to go to Music School?

I've looked all over and I can't find the answer to this- how to I make my tama go to school? I just got a Music Star and I've been trying for a couple of days, but whenever I go to the door and select "Away" it just gives me that error noise and doesn't do anything. It's a teenager now but I have had to pause it a lot during the day- was there a certain time of day that they first show up to unlock school?

There's an event that has to happen first- your tamagotchi will beep and the door icon will be highlighted- this means there's somebody at the door. When you select the door icon and open it, a teacher will appear and give you a new toy for your tama. After that happens, you can go to school. If you want to go to music school, I think it's the band manager character who has to appear. You just need to make sure you don't miss the door event

I know there is a certain time of day for this to happen, but I can't remember when. I just remember reading there were a couple of times each day when it happens.
