how to enter codes?

Hi i'm only new to the site. I used to care alot about tamagotchi's but hen they suddenly want out of fame now there back in buissenss again!! i forgot alot about them so can someone help me?? i've got a V2 and all thecodes but how do u put them in?? please reply?? h34r:

Go to the shop, press button [a] 3 times, VERY quickly, it will make the shopkeeper look surprised, then enter the codes.
