How old?

Hello - I'm a newbie but I've had my Tamagotchi since Boxing Day. My daughter got hers for Christmas and I so wanted one I had to go out and get one on Boxing Day, then my son got in on the act and we are now a family of Tamagotchi fans, although my husband doesn't have one!

What I would like to know is how many generations does a Tamagotchi go up to? Mine and my daughter's are now both on their seventh generation and my son is on his sixth - does it stop at 9 and start at 1 again or does it go further?

There's lots of good info and fun stuff here - just look through the different sections/forums - (there are guidelines pinned in bold to help you at the top of each of the forums).

The help for new Tamagotchi Owners forum should be pretty useful - just the place to get all your Tama questions answered! To start you off, Tamas generations go all the way up to 99! (You can keep going after 99, it just doesn't count them anymore...)

Here's hoping you and the kids are all still Tama fans when you get to 99 gens!

Hi Tama Mum.

Thanks for that - I certainly will still be a fan when I get to 99 generations and beyond - I think my daughter will as well, but I'm not so sure about my son - boys aren't stayers when it comes to caring for something to stop it from dying, but we'll see.
