The type of batteries used for mine (Tama Connection) is CR2032. I bought my batteries at Target. The type: Energizer 2 button set for like $4. I'm sure other places have similar prices, WalMart maybe.

has anyone's second connection battery run out already? The first battery died after a couple of weeks (common from what I've read)... The freebie battery is in now but I have no idea how long it will most likely last... Anyone already on their third battery?

If you want to get the batteries for cheaper than $2/battery, try ebay. Basically, the more you buy, the better deal you'll get...But I've seen auctions for 5 batteries for around $5 including shipping. I plan on buying them on ebay once I need them :]
