How long until my V4 turns into adult!?

My tamagotchi is a teen and I have been waiting for it to grow into an adult since about a week ago? My friend got her V4 a few days after me and hers already turned into an adult! Is there a reason why mine is taking awhile? Oh, and I pause it when I go to sleep (I have no idea when it wakes up and I don't want it to go bye bye!) Help please?

EDIT: Oh, and how many hours do you need to wait until it grows from a teen into an adult?

ANOTHER EDIT: My friend pressed the reset button by "accident" yeah right. So I wanna know how many hours you need to wait until a toddler turns into a teen. Oh, and if its sleeping will the happy and hunger hearts drop? Thanks again!!! And happy new year!

The reason its not turning into an adult is because your pausing it when it goes to bed don't do that and it will be a adult in no time. Hope I helped

It takes 48 hours for a v4 teenager to grow into an adult. When your Tamagotchi is paused, those hours don't count. When your Tamagotchi is sleeping, those hours DO count.

Don't worry, v4s take HOURS to die. One time I hatched a baby and left it without looking after it or anything and it died over 24 hours later. I don't really remember v4 sleep/wake times, but if I remember correctly, v4 children and teens sleep from like 8am-9pm. (Babies don't sleep, they just take a 5min nap at some point, though babies can't die anyway.)

You keep pausing it when it goes to sleep. Thats when tamagotchis grow. Your friend might not pause her tamagotchi, and thats why her tamagotchi grows faster then yours. Your tamagotchi wont die in a matter of 5 minutes, dont worry! The night before it goes to sleep just make sure its Hunger is up and its Happiness it up and it is Healthy, that way the next morning it wakes up it can manage for a few hours on its own until you wake up or decide to start playing with it.
