How long does tamagotchi gen 2 live for?

Hello! I am wondering what the life expectancy of a tamagotchi gen 2 is becuase I don't want to get too hung up on it before it like vanishes but also don't want it to die after a week.

Usually around two weeks, this can increase or decrease depending on if you have a good or bad care character.
