How does tamatown work?

I just got a tamagotchi V6 and I entered the password from the door-->pc icon onto the website, and I was surprised to see an online version of my tamagotchi! Just call me behind the times but I was wondering how this mechanism works? How can the website recognize my toy without wifi or any other wireless connection?

it all runs by severs and flash if you talk to binary you will find out because she/he made the Tama en wearhouse.

Each tamagotchi character and toy will present you with a unique code each time you decide to log on, and this is how Tamatown determines your character. That's basically it. However, if you want to go into the specifics, I'm not familiar enough with the technology to say.

yeah all the tamagotichi codes must be stored of the memory of the V6 and a copy on a sever or a database.
