How do you Select Jobs?

I have a V4 and I'm wondering what it looks like when your Tamagotchi is selecting jobs. I am on my second generation, so you might think I should know but with my first generation I was stuck with the Florist job. For some reason it didn't let me choose. So I'm just wondering...what does your Tama do when you are selecting a job to apply for?

when you select a job you are looking at one

well you press the middle button until you are given a job
