How do i get my tamagotchi v2 to mate with my other v2?

I have 2 v2 Bandai 2004 tama's. They are technically the same age (4) but the male has not aged to 4, only 3. They have full hearts oon their friendship level and when they give gifts or visit it shows a heart between them. How do they have a baby? It only lets me give presents or play games? Can they do it at this age? they are both adults.

It might be either because they're not old enough,or you just need to connect them more! I'm sorry if I'm wrong though! >_<

That's really unusual. My 4.5s gladly mate at three years old even when I don't want them to. Just keep connecting them and I think they'll eventually mate.
