To replace the battery:
- Turn the Tamagotchi over and unscrew the screw in the back.
- Pull off the battery lid and use a pencil to prise out the battery.
- Buy a new CR-2032 battery and put it into the Tamagotchi, writing side up where the old battery was. There should be a long beep.
- Screw the battery lid back on.
Starting it up again:
- When the new battery is loaded in, there was a long beep, right? There should now be an egg on the screen.
- Press B and select Download, then press B again.
Your Tamagotchi should be in a similar state as before.
