The easiest way / fastest way to understand everything is to read!
Well first of all you need to read up a little about the guidelines:

That will tell you what you can and can't do on TamaTalk!
Then you just need to surf around the different forums - look at the pinned notices at the top of each one - it will tell you what subjects appear in which forums.
Then have a read - see what members have posted - see what options there are on the reply screens that each member makes and if you have questions or need more info - there's Help for New Tamagotchi Owners or What's On Your Mind?
