Welcome, hyper_active! I'm glad you've decided to join Tamatalk!

You'll fit in very well here, as we have a lot of 'hyper-active' members on this site, and a topic to express your randomness here!

And we love talking, laughing, chatting and having fun here at TT, so you'll fit in well in that way too. TT has many excellent guides who you can PM for help, and they will keep the boards safe for you.

And now to answer your questions:

There are many great topics here on Tamatalk, and I don't know which ones will appeal to you - just have a browse and see what you can find! If you are very random you'll love the Fun Stuff section!

Role-play is basically when you create and pretend you are a character, talking to other members who are 'role-playing' other characters as well. For example, there might be a topic in the Role-Play section called 'Fruit Chat' (very random example!) where all the members will have to be a different fruit, and chat to each other from their fruit's perspective. I might want to be an orange, so I would say

"I'll be an Orange called OrangeFruit!

Orangefruit: Hi there, Banana, what are you doing?"

And whoever was playing 'Banana' would respond! Role plays can be very fun once you get into them, but are best played when other characters from the role play are online. You can also only post once every 30 seconds, so it isn't anything like Instant Messaging. Also, role play posts do not count towards your post count.

I find the sub-forum Non-tamatalk is quite useful for questions about video games. Also if you like reading, got to Non-tamatalk, then Stuff we read. Most role-play topics need a form. I find it useful to always have a form at hand at Microsoft word. I hope you have a great time! Pm me, i love to chat!

I think Non-TamaTalk has good topics.

Role-Play is where you play as a character. Most RPs now are immature...
