I just got a music stars tamagotchi today (sale at Toys R Us, how can I resist?) and I was just really wondering how it all worked, like...do they still have babies and stuff on this one or is it nor possible because of the band parts? xD How similar is it to a 'normal' or 'proper' tamagotchi?

It works like a normal one, plus some.
You get one tama. With one toy (Releives stress) and an Instrament (Practice)
Make sure you go to school, band practice and try the other games too.
The games will help you raise your tamas skill level, higher the better.

The Music Star is simple and easy to catch on to. Basically, you raise your Tamagotchi to become a music star by having them practise, join a band and play at concerts. When your tamagotchi gets married the partner will stay with them, I think that is a neat feature.
