I'm new here- have browsed through TamaTalk for a couple days already.
I never had a Tamagotchi growing up - only a Giga Pet (chimp, and played my brother's T-Rex sometimes). My friend Elizabeth had about 11 Tamagotchis, and I was kind of jealous.
Recently for work I've had to look at Tamagotchis (and other online pet products), and it kind of set me on a Tamagotchi high. I bought a v4 and a v3 on ebay, and am waiting for them right now.
I'd have to say at first I was excited in playing with them with the websites- I thought I could play games with my Tama, transfer points, etc. I guess I can only send items that I win from the site... but that's fine too I guess.
Not sure if this is just a fad or something that will last. I've always liked virtual pets (have played Neopets for about 7 years now), so maybe I'll pick my Tamagotchi up a couple months after I get sick of it :3
