Hello, my name is Rafael and I'm from Brazil. Here is very complicated to own a tamagotchi. Taxes are high and dolar now a days is higher than ever before. Back to my childhood I use to play Rakuraku dinokun and I was obsessed with it!! Gosh I played every minute and loved everyone more and more. But that wasn't the only virtual pet around. Some rich kids have those egg shaped ones, the Tamagotchi! And those were precious. I played very little with the original tamagotchi, but since than I knew it was love <3 I collected a bunch of virtual pets, the penguins, aliens, watches. Any pixel cuteness I found. But years passed, I forgot my virtual pets, I grew up and tamagotchis went extint here. There was no sing of it, not even the ones I had (probably my mother thought it was trash I wasted than). I was 19 when Tama-go arrived in Brazil and in PORTUGUESE. Yes, portuguese. It was too expensive at the time and I couldn't afford one. I was in college, and very broke. Years passed once more, I'm 25 now, I work as illustrator for a mobile game studio and a week from now I stopped by a local toy store to by some tsum tsum. But while I was wandering arround I found 2 tama-go! I was choked, it's beeing 6 years from the release now. I grabbed those cute huge eggs and now I fell like the child I was when I first play dinokun. I'm enjoying every step I take on tama-go! All the grey-scale, new places I've never been. It's so exiting! But in the very way I'm feeling joy, I feel very tricked by this model. Now I'm an adult and these tama-go are very very simple and limited. Dooing some research about tamagotchi I found this wonderful forum and here I read about the old ones, the new ones and all the things tamagotchis can do now a days! I was trying to find I great tamagotchi to buy, one with loads of content and I choose the Entama one to acquire. I think I did a great choice, I love the old graphics and I'm more concerned about the gameplay and content than graphics and accessories (for now). But I'm willing to buy a colored one and I'm very confused about those. I personally find color and plus color to have the best graphics, but is too expensive. 4u is cheat, but seems to have zero built-in content. And for M!X is hard to say because there is not much about it online. So that's it. I think this is a huge introduction, and my english sucks. But I'm really glad to join this community and share with you all my new experiences with tamagotchi (also, it would be really great if you guys comment some of the features of tamagotchi m!x and 4u plus) <3

Hallo and welcome! I actually have a Tamagotchi 4U and I happen to like the limited content. I'm still new to the idea of coloured Tamagotchi, and I was looking for a simplified version that didn't need too much attention. The 4U is meeting my needs very nicely for now. I also have the Chinese knock-off, Tamagezi, ordered from Aliexpress. I should get it by the end of this month. I had seen Youtube reviews for Tamagezi and I thought the contents of it were rather neat. I don't particularly like how the care of a male character on a Tamagezi reflects Chinese society, but in any case, I'm still interested in receiving and trying out this particular pet. By the by, I'm 34 and still a huge fan of these virtual pets. They're still as awesome as they had been when they were a brand-new thing.

Hello! :) It's great to see new people joining the forums! :)

I recently bought a Tamagotchi P's. It is a colour model from 2012. It is incredibly fun!

I would also recommend the M!X, I haven't gotten that one yet, but it looks as cool as the P's but with the creative idea of having the features of the children Mix!

If you are confused about the colour models I would say that the P's has many features, but it is actually quite easy to use. After about three days of using it in Japanese I understood most things about it.
I LOVE it and am very happy with this model. Most people are. It also has an English patch. :) No Portuguese though. :( I assume having it in English would still be easier than Japanese.

Also the P's has lots of things to do, but the Tamagotchi itself isn't very demanding. I find mine easy to look after.

The M!X sounds amazing, but seeing it only came out in July there is less info out there about it. However, people here are talking about it happily, and so far so good.

These forums are a lot of fun, I'm sure you'll love it here. :)
