I need some help. I just got a new Tmamgotchi, and I don't know much. I mean I know the basic stuff like the secret codes and buttons and what the icons mean, but i want to know he charecter and stuff. And How do you get an Old dude anyway?
to get the old timers you must refuse the matchmaker every time and wait till its eleven years old. if you have a v2.. but seeing as its your first time NOW then im assuming v3.. so i can help you more [as can others] if you tell which version you have.
First icon (meter thingie) = It shows your tamagotchis stats
Second: Feed your tamagotchi
Third: Toilet, if you tamagotchi leaves a little mess
Forth: Games, shop, and items
Fifth: Connecting
6th: Phrais/Time out
7th: If your tama has a skull above it's head, use this icon
8th: When your tama goes to sleep, use this icon to turn off lights
9th: Presents/Friends
To get the old dude: Turn down the match maker every thime it comes (You will have to wait around 11 days). IT HAS TO BE A BOY TAMAGOTCHI TO GET THE OLD "DUDE" GIRL TO GET THE OLD "DUDETTE"

The Tamadex didn't help me, but now my gotchi is lost on the bus, and I think a middle schooler, or highschooler might steal it. I hope someone good will find it and turn it in!
