I just got my tamagotchi for Christmas. How do you connect to other people. Do that have to be like right in front of you or what? I am not really sure how to do anything like that. And how do you send presents? Please help!

Please do a search next time, because this has been asked quite a few times before. You have to hold the two units at least 3 inches or closer to each other, then highlight the connect icon and press the middle button twice on both tamagotchis.
