Help with 4u app

Just got first Tamagotchi 4u and for some reason I"am having trouble to connect to the app for the english patch. I have a LG G4 and I'am wondering if its compatible for the 4u? Ive tryed last night for an hour and nothing happen. But I'am able to send photos from nfc phone to phone. What to do? Help me please

I try again and i determine that my phone is not compatible. Any cheap phones around that are compatible with the 4u app? Under $100

I live in the United States, I have looked up compatible devices but I have trouble understanding certain ones. Does it accept Samsung Galaxy versions? Maybe 2-4 generation?

From this topic it seems that the Galaxy S5 and S3 work

some versions of the 4U do not patch into English, I think, like the P´s and the 4U plus does not have a patch...yet

make sure you have the correct version of the patch, if you cannot send items to the Tama via your phone app, it´s the phone.
