help for growth stages on tamagotchi friends

Sorry to write here for support again, but havent played with tamas since I was a kid and WAY TOOOO MANY THINGS have changed since. so... I am a bit confused about the growth stages.

I am at gen 3, and right now the tamas evolved as following.

Petithantchi- Neotchi_ Coffretchi

Aokumotchi- Cosmotchi- Mametchi

Aokumotchi- Turletchi (still not adult)

Now I was wondering, how come I got Aokumotchi twice but one time it turned into Cosmotchi and this time into Turletchi?

Is it possibile to have the same baby stage but two different child stages?
