I've always wondered how guides felt when they got that PM when they were asked to be a guide. I never bothered to ask though....

But now I finally remembered to. How did you feel when you were asked to be a guide? Did you like, get it unexpectantly or did you have a feeling it was coming?

I'm sure they were very happy. But being a guide isn't just fun and games. I mean, it seems like it's a lot of work to keep all the 17,000+ members in order and keep all the posts friendly and to keep TamaTalk a friendly place, too. I'll bet it's a lot of work, but I'm sure they're happy.

He promoted me there. I refreshed chat and I was a guide. Yay!!

I was pretty surprised when I got the PM! A few things just happened all at once for me. I had been a member for a few years when one day after a big fiasco on the forums I got 2 Karma points. I was thrilled!! Soon afterwards, I received the PM asking me to become a Guide! It was quite a surprise.

I was aware that it would dramatically increase my responsibilities when browsing the site, but I was extremely happy to be able to take more action to help support the great atmosphere on TamaTalk. I still have the official PM saved in my box.

I second that ^^ If I became a guide, I would be thrilled and I would be really mad at myself if I deleted that official PM.

Honestly, though, I don't think I'll ever become a guide =P
